Dr. Sophie Armstrong
Sport and Exercise Medicine Physician
Dr. Sophie Armstrong is a Sport and Exercise Physician, who has completed her specialist training with the Australasian College of Sport and Exercise Physicians. Sophie also has a Masters Degree in Sport and Exercise Medicine from Bath University, UK.
Sophie regularly consults at Hills Sports Medicine providing specialist Sport and Exercise Medicine care of acute and chronic issues to recreational and elite athletes, injured workers and those trying to keep active in day-to-day life of all ages. Keeping patients active and healthy is fundamental to Sophie’s management; this encompasses a collaborative and patient centered approach.
Sophie has worked with many elite sporting teams but has an interest and expertise in all things Netball being Netball Australia’s Chief Medical Officer, Head Doctor to the Australian Netball Diamonds, and Head Doctor to Giants Netball. Sophie was also part of the Australian Medical Team at the 2018 Commonwealth Games. Sophie continues to be a medical provider for the NSW Institute of Sport (NSWIS) performing medical screenings for their professional and elite sponsored athletes.
