Dr. David Jefferies is a registrar completing his specialist training with the Australasian College of Sport and Exercise Physicians.

David has worked with a number of elite sports and currently works at the Sydney Roosters and Western Sydney Wanderers. Previously he has done work with the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles, Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs, Melbourne Storm, New South Wales Waratahs, Sydney FC and he was recently the Chief Medical Officer for World Rugby’s Sydney 7’s competition. He has also been involved with multiple endurance sports including the London Marathon, Ironman, and international rowing.

After finishing a medical degree and a bachelor’s degree in Physiology at The University of Bristol he completed his intern and resident training in London. He then completed a Masters of Sports, Exercise, and Health at University College London before emigrating to Australia. After 3 years working in Emergency Medicine at Royal North Shore Hospital, he joined the Sports and Exercise specialist training program in 2018. He is now undertaking a Ph.D. in concussion through the Children’s Institute of Sports Medicine at Westmead where he also consults.

No referral is required to see David and he would be happy to see patients referred by all health care practitioners. It is requested that any imaging and letters be brought to the appointment.
