Rebecca is an Accredited Sports Dietitian and Accredited Practising Dietitian with The Athletes Kitchen. She has experience across many areas in both clinical dietetics and private industry. She started her working career in 1993 as a Dietitian in the public hospital system. Following this she moved into the area research and then to private industry. She has worked with pharmaceutical and food companies and has been in private practice for the last 8 years. Rebecca also consults to St Jon of God Hospital in Burwood.
Areas of specialty for Rebecca include healthy eating, weight management, diabetes management, cholesterol management, IBS, food intolerance and eating disorders, She has a particular interest and experience in the area of sports nutrition and sports she has worked with include: swimming, soccer, sailing, endurance running, athletics (both track and field), adventure racing, road/mountain biking and triathlon.
She works with athletes of all ages from primary school age to masters and all levels, from beginner to elite.
Some areas of focus in sports nutrition include: recovery, hydration, race nutrition strategy, sports supplements, making weight (up or down), vegetarian eating, menu planning and travel nutrition.
